Let’s face it, it’s hard to ask for help in the postpartum period. Especially when the pervasive idea is that support is a “nice to have” rather than a “need to have”. Caring postpartum support has been proven to prevent the onset of postpartum depression and anxiety. But when seeking help is seen as a luxury rather than a human right, birthing people in need are often left isolated in a time of life-altering transition and recovery.
